This Book was written by Carrie Schmitt to her surviving son, Ivan. She was so sad that her son Jackson died, but she was so glad he was still there to love and cherish.
Carrie was looking for books to help her young son understand what happened to his big brother. Since she couldn’t find anything, she wrote her own book.
She hopes that this book will help a family to have the difficult and painful conversation about the death of their sibling. The book was written as a love letter to her surviving son to acknowledge his loss as well as re-affirm her love for him.
